Need a fun centerpiece for your next family gathering, kids party, or baby shower?  This Spring Lollipop Centerpiece if just what you need.  It is bright, fun, and edible.  Gotta love that combination.
Follow my easy instructions below and it will be the talk of the party.
Here are the details:

Supplies:
styrofoam ball
lollipops
artificial flowers and leaves
glass jar
aquarium rock or marbles
basket
Easter basket grass

Make an indention in the styrofoam ball with the jar.  This will show you where to leave an unfilled area of lollipops.

Insert lollipops into ball.  Have fun alternating the colors.
Add leaves to your lollipops and insert into ball for extra decoration.
Insert jar into your basket and fill with rock or marbles for weight.
Place finished ball on top of jar where you left the open space.  Fill basket with Easter grass and decorate with flowers.  Enjoy!!

Ham and Green Onion Cheeseball {Football Shaped}

My husband's late grandma used to make this cheeseball every year around Christmas time.  The kids would gather together make goodies and spend the night.  Since she has passed away, other family members bring this savory treat to gatherings.  I finally made it myself this week.  It was gone within minutes.  I will definitely be making another one for the Super Bowl next weekend.

Ingredients:
2 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese, softened
2 (2 oz.) pkgs. thin-sliced ham, diced into small pieces
4 green onions, diced
crackers (for a gluten-free option, serve with gluten free crackers)
plastic wrap

Directions:
  1. Mix ingredients together in a medium bowl.
  2. Place onto plastic wrap.  Wrap and form into football shape.
  3. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
  4. Roll in pecans.  Refrigerated until serving.
  5. Add green onion as the stitches of the football.  Serve with crackers of your choice.

Munchies Mix

I love to cook, bake and craft with my kids.  They are always anxious and willing to help me with a new recipe or project.  Today they made this wonderful Munchies Mix from the TIME for Kids: Kids in the Kitchen Cookbook.  I was lucky enough to receive it in the mail to review for you.  The book is full of terrific and easy recipes for your kids to do on their own, or with some adult help.  It contains many different sections including breakfast, lunch, sides and snacks, dinner, and my favorite...dessert.

My girls had so much fun creating this mix.  We are planning to take it on a road trip later this week.  Something to look forward to!!
The recipe is very simple.  You may even have all of the ingredients in your pantry right now.  The only alteration that we made was adding mini marshmallows in place of the peanuts.  And the Parmesan crackers gave the whole mix a light salty spice that we love.
After seeing how much fun my girls had with this cookbook, I recommend you add it to your own collection.  Create some memories and fun food with your own kids!!

My friend, Carrie, over at Quite Carried Away also reviewed this cookbook.  Click HERE to see her post.

Celebration Sundays - Spa Party Theme

Today is my oldest daughter's 10th birthday.  My heart stops when I think about how fast the time has gone.  I try my hardest to treasure every minute.  Making sure to be at all of the school parties, sports games, big events, simple moments, and everyday life.  But suddenly I have realized that my baby is growing up.  She has so many great talents and I can't wait to see what lies ahead for her.

To celebrate, we had a fun spa party last weekend.  She invited 4 of her closest friends to have their nails done and come back to our house for a slumber party.  It was a picture perfect event that I will treasure.  Hope you enjoy too!!

The first important part of the party...selecting nail polish from a wall full of colors.
The birthday girl enjoying pedicures with her friends.
Next, each girl got their fingernails done.
Even little sis got to be a part of the fun.
Among the silly girl time I took a moment to take this picture.  It made me realize that my baby has suddenly turned into a beautiful young lady.  Wow, where did the time go!!
The finished product!!
Then, they all went back to our house for pizza, cake, and a slumber party.
The cake was so fun to create.  She even helped me make the nail polishes on top.  It was a layered strawberry and vanilla cake covered in buttercream frosting and fondant decor.
Happy Birthday my sweet girl.  May all your wishes come true!!
A closer look at the top of the cake.
Inside layers in her two favorite colors.
Full details on how to make the cake coming later this week.
Me and my happy 10 year old.
