If you have been traveling through Kansas City with me this summer you know my first stop was T-Bones Baseball. Our next trip is Legoland Discovery Center located at Crown Center in Kansas City, Missouri. I was delighted to have my sister, niece, and nephew tag along with myself and girls. My oldest daughter is 15, and youngest is 11. My niece is soon to be 6, and nephew is 4.
No matter what the age...they all had a great time!!
After passing the entrance, we were greeted by Dorothy and Toto from The Wizard of Oz. I was already in awe just admiring the complex design of Legos that went into each character. This room had three different stations: Draw It, Dream It, and Build It. Each station gave you the opportunity to create your own designs and put them into action.
Next, we rode Kingdom Quest. It is a ride that allows you to "zap" bad Lego characters
and save the captured princess. This was a big hit!
What is more adorable than a baby Lego giraffe?
My niece and nephew hugging the baby Lego giraffe!
Miniland is a room filled with scenes from Kansas City. With more than 1.5 million bricks, it is a sight to be seen. I could have spent hours in here just admiring all of the details.
Check out the stadiums!
My niece's favorite area was Lego Friends Heartlake City.
It features all of the colorful and fun Legos for girls.
Look at the detail in Lego Friend, Emma's face. Incredible!!
This was a special time to visit Legoland. It was the police minifigures birthday.
Isn't he cute! Happy Birthday, buddy!

My nephew loved the Duplo Village area.
He climbed inside a structure and got buried with bricks.

The Buzz Mountain Challenge tested my girls' patience by trying to make it through a
puzzle without touching the edges.

If you have a kid that loves trains, they will be occupied for hours
with the Train Station Adventure.

Make your own Lego pizza creation at the Pizzeria Station.
Before leaving Legoland, make sure to shop your way through the retail shop. From backpacks and keychains, to kits and shirts, you will find a souvenir here!
Look at those smiles!! I think it was a successful trip.
Another fun outing less than an hour from our house in the Kansas City Area.
So,
if you are looking for a fun family outing, and live in
the KC area, head to Legoland Discovery Center. It's fun for all ages!
