Exploring KC: T-Bones Baseball

 

In the past year, I have ventured into doing some travel posts.  I love documenting and sharing the locations and adventures with my readers.  This year, I'm doing something a little different.  We are exploring a little closer to home...the Kansas City area.  I've lived in Kansas my whole life and there are still so many things that I haven't done yet.  So, come along on my journey and enjoy the stops along the way.  The first stop is T-Bones Baseball. 

 

The Kansas City T-Bones are a baseball team based in Kansas City, KS.  They are a member of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball.  Games have been played at their home field at Community America Ballpark since 2003. 

 

Most games start at 7:05pm from Monday - Saturday and 1:05pm on Sundays.  Arrive early and you can tailgate in the free parking and enjoy pre-game events within the stadium.

  Sit in the seats, bring a blanket for the grass outfield seats, or choose the bleachers.   

All of the seats in the stadium give you a great view of the game.

Sizzle the Bull is the team mascot.  He can be seen during the games cheering with fans and helping with between inning contests.  Get your picture with him or a high-five.  He's ready!  

Concessions are located throughout the ballpark and in kiosks.  Enjoy a ballpark meal or a tasty snack.  We loved the raspberry lemonade and kettle corn!

The scoreboard comes alive during the game to celebrate homeruns.  

We were lucky enough to see three while we were there.  

 

So, if you are looking for a fun family outing or a date night, and live in the KC area, head out to see the T-Bones.  The tickets are reasonable, the parking is free, and the stadium is easy to get in and out of.  You will be thrilled with the excitement of baseball and love being close to home when it's all over.  And if you are there on a Friday night, you get to see a great fireworks show!
