Rice and Raisins Porridge

This is a warm and comforting breakfast (or dinner…my family loves breakfast for dinner) that my mom used to make for me growing up.  Of course my husband thought I was crazy when we got together and I made this….until he tried it.  It is a simple and cheap dish that will warm you up on a cold winter day.

Makes 2 servings

Ingredients:
1 boil-in-bag rice bag
½ c. raisins
Clip of some sort (I use a paperclip or chip clip)
Milk
Sugar

Directions:
  1.  Cut open the top of one bag of rice, add raisins, and stir to mix.  Secure closed with clip.  Boil bag as directions state on box.
  2. Drain water off of rice, pour into a bowl.  Add milk and sugar to your liking.  Enjoy!!
