Needing a quick and easy dessert for a last minute gathering? This is my new favorite fix. This cookie cake can be made quickly to please any hungry crowd. I've made it in the morning to take to work, and even on my lunch break. So easy and delicious.
Ingredients:
1 box of yellow or white cake mix
2 eggs
1 stick melted butter
2 cups chocolate chips.
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl.
2. Spread into 9X13 pan (sprayed with cooking spray).
3. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
4. When cooled, cut into squares.

Years ago, I used to make a cake called the "busy day cake." Can't remember where I got the recipe. This looks so delicious! I want to make it NOW! Thanks for posting it. I will be back to visit often. Deb @ Kneaded Creations
ReplyDeleteThis is such an easy and fun idea! I actually have a partial box of yellow cake mix left (used 1 cup of it for another recipe ;)), so I may do a 9x9 pan of this with what is left.

ReplyDeleteI'm trying this for the first time and this may sound like a dumb question but do you also follow the directions for the mix then add the other ingredients?
ReplyDeleteMy friend tried it by following the cake mix but just used 2 eggs 5T of butter, but the choc chips seemed to concentrate on the bottom.
