Bird Nest Treats


These little treats are such a fun addition to your Easter dinner.  They are colorful and fun to eat.  The kids will love them too!

Makes approx. 24 nests

Ingredients:
12 oz. bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
12 oz. bag butterscotch chips
2 c. creamy peanut butter
12 oz. bag chow mein noodles
candy eggs or jelly beans
parchment or waxed paper

Directions:

  1. In a large microwaveable bowl, heat the chocolate and butterscotch chips in 30 second intervals until thoroughly melted, stirring after each increment until smooth.
  2. Add peanut butter to the chocolate/butterscotch mixture, mix well completely combined.
  3. Add chow mein noodles, stir slowly until completely coated.
  4. Using a large spoon, drop spoonfuls of the mixure onto parchment or waxed paper, mold the mixture into nests.
  5. Chill the nests until hardened, about 1 hour.
  6. Once chilled, place candy or jelly beans in the center.
