This fruit salad is a long-time favorite in my family. We eat it as a side dish, dessert, and even breakfast. It is a simple and easy to make dish that will delight the whole family. Take it to your next family gathering and have them devour it within minutes.
Ingredients:
1 large can of pears, drained and diced OR 1 pint of strawberries, diced
1 (16 oz.) container of small curd cottage cheese
1 pkg. strawberry flavored dry gelatin mix
1 (16 oz.) container of whipped topping
Toppings: sprinkles, nuts, etc...
Directions:
1. Combine the pears in a large bowl with the cottage cheese.
2. Add the dry gelatin mix and stir until well blended.
3. Fold in the whipped topping and refrigerate for at least one hour.
4. Feel free to top with sprinkles, nuts, or leave plain.

SOUNDS YUMMY!!! Will be making this today -- just because!!!
ReplyDeleteThis looks fantastic! My boyfriend's mom makes something similar but I don't think it has the cottage cheese.
ReplyDeleteI need to make this!

Oh, what?! I've never heard of anything like this! It sounds so good! I'm pinning this for sure. :)
ReplyDeleteThis one is a different recipe than the one that I make! Mine doesn't have real fruit, or the cottage cheese in it, and I actually fold in the already made jello. I am going to have to try your way and see if I like it better! Like the poster above, we always called it fluff. Depends on the flavor jello, as to what color fluff we called it!
