Chocolate Dipped Coconut Macaroons

My recipe contribution are these super easy Chocolate Dipped Coconut Macaroons. They are the perfect holiday treat to give to neighbors, add to treat trays, or enjoy yourself. With only 4 ingredients, you will be a happy little elf in the kitchen!

Ingredients:
1 (14 oz.) pkg. sweetened flaked coconut
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 (10 oz.) bag of chocolate chips, I used dark chocolate
parchment paper

Directions:

In a bowl, combine the coconut, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract; mix well.
Spoon onto a parchment covered baking sheet, leaving 2 inches between macaroons.
Bake at 325 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly browned around the edges.
Gently press together while still warm to create a more dense macaroon. Let cool completely.
Melt chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second increments until smooth.
Dip each macaroon in chocolate and place back onto parchment paper.
Drizzle with remaining chocolate. Let set and cool completely.
Store in a covered container on the counter.

Hollywood Candy in Omaha, Nebraska

If you have any plans to visit Omaha, Nebraska you must stop at Hollywood Candy. It is located in the Old Market area and worth the trip. They have the largest selection of candy in the area. From retro candy to the latest releases, they have it all.

My family recently stopped there on our trip from Kansas City to Omaha. The kids were in awe, and the adults were kids all over again. Every childhood memory was found in that store. We truly were kids in a candy store!

After you get done at the candy store, make sure to visit the Hollywood Pinball and Arcade Museum within the same building. It houses over 85 games from different eras. The games are all ready for token play.

Also located here is the Hollywood Theater, Fairmont Antiques, diner, and letterpress. All are fun to visit and worth your time.

PUMPKIN CREAM CHEESE DIP

Ingredients:
1 can cream cheese frosting
1/2 c. canned pumpkin puree
1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
vanilla wafers

Directions:

Mix frosting, pumpkin, and spice until mixed thoroughly.
Serve with vanilla wafers or cookies of your liking.

Pumpkin Pie Dipped Oreos

My next contribution are these Pumpkin Pie Dipped Oreos. You will love the combination of cookie crunch, chocolate coating, and pumpkin taste. It is fall all wrapped up in a bite. For added fun, I topped them with sprinkles from Sweets & Treats. #SweetsSquad

PUMPKIN PIE DIPPED OREOS

Ingredients:
1 package vanilla almond bark (or any other chocolate that you prefer)
1 c. canned pumpkin puree
1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1 pkg. Golden Oreo cookies
sprinkles (I used Fall Harvest from Sweets & Treats)

Directions:

Melt bark or chocolate in microwave in 30 second increments until stirred smooth.
Add pumpkin and spice. Mix thoroughly.
Dip Oreos until covered.
Top with sprinkles.
Lay on waxed or parchment paper. Let dry completely, or put in refrigerator.
Store in the refrigerator.
